What is Full Body Massage?
Full Body Massage at Garden Spa is exactly what it sounds like — a complete head-to-toe session that covers your back, shoulders, neck, arms, legs, glutes, and (if you're comfortable) face and scalp. Unlike a 30-minute targeted session that focuses on just back-and-neck, a full body session gives every muscle group attention. It's the choice when you want to leave nothing untouched and walk out feeling completely reset.
Most Full Body sessions at Garden Spa are 60 minutes ($80), which gives roughly 30 minutes face-down (back, glutes, legs from behind, arms) and 30 minutes face-up (front of legs, neck, shoulders, optional face/scalp). For a more thorough experience, the 90-minute Full Body at $120 lets your therapist spend extra time on tight areas without sacrificing coverage anywhere else.
You choose the style — Swedish (gentle, flowing) or Deep Tissue (firm, targeted) — and the therapist applies that style across the whole body. Walk-ins are welcome 9 AM to 10:30 PM seven days a week. If you're not sure between Swedish and Deep Tissue for a Full Body, our front desk will help you decide based on what your body is asking for today.
Benefits of Full Body Massage
- Addresses tension you didn't know you had — many guests find sore spots they hadn't noticed
- Resets your nervous system more completely than targeted sessions
- Improves circulation across all major muscle groups
- Helps total-body tightness from long flights, road trips, or hiking
- Excellent for anyone whose 'whole body just hurts' — fatigue, stress, age
- Better sleep that night — 60+ minutes of bodywork is a strong sleep trigger
Who is Full Body Massage for?
- Anyone who feels tight 'all over' rather than in one specific spot.
- Travelers — after a long flight, a road trip up the 101, or a few days of hiking.
- Adults over 40 who notice general body stiffness in the morning and want to maintain mobility.
- Athletes after long training weeks who need full-body recovery, not just spot work.
- Anyone going through a high-stress life period — full body massage signals 'safe to relax' to your nervous system more completely than 30 minutes can.
- First-time guests who want the full experience and have 60-90 minutes available.

What to Expect
When you walk in, the front desk will confirm whether you want Swedish or Deep Tissue intensity for the full body, and whether you have any priority areas the therapist should spend extra time on. You can also tell us areas to avoid — common requests include skipping the face, skipping abdomen, or skipping hands.
In your private room, your therapist will step out while you undress to your comfort level and lie face-down under the top sheet. The session typically starts with your back (often the largest area of tension), moves to glutes and legs from behind, then arms. After about 30 minutes, you'll be asked to turn over face-up, and the therapist works on the front of legs, then neck, shoulders, and optional face/scalp.
Throughout the session, the therapist checks pressure and focus, especially when transitioning to a new body area. Tell them if any specific spot needs more or less attention. The pace is unhurried — Full Body is meant to feel like a complete experience, not a checklist of body parts.
After the session, you'll have a few minutes to redress. Many full-body guests describe a 'floaty,' deeply relaxed state for 30-60 minutes afterward. Drink water, take it easy for a couple of hours, and avoid intense exercise that evening. Most guests sleep deeply that night and wake up feeling notably looser the next morning.
Our Therapists
Every Full Body session at Garden Spa is performed by experienced female therapists trained in both Swedish and Deep Tissue styles, plus the pacing and transitions specific to full-body work. Full Body is more demanding than targeted work — the therapist needs to manage timing carefully so every area gets meaningful attention without rushing. Our team has 6+ years of professional spa experience and is trained to read body language and adjust pressure across the session.
